Thank you to all the people who left a comment about what they would like to see on the auction list. I have taken many of your ideas and used them in some way. Check out the rewards up for grabs this Friday. Remember at the end of term auctions, you can team up with others to combine your credits. You will need to fill in an auction agreement on Friday morning. Think about which prizes can be shared easily.
At the end of the week, we will have our end-of-term auction. Many of you have lots of credits to spend...so what do you want to see on the reward list? Leave a comment with ideas so I can put together the auction list. Think about the rewards you have purchased this year - what do you want to get again? Think about rewards you have seen others get - would you like that? Ask Harakeke and Manuka friends what they have in their auctions. Please comment before Wednesday.
This week, we have Harold and the Life Education classroom at Tinwald School. We had our first session on Friday. Our topic is "It's good to be me!" and we have been finding out about how we are both unique and similar. Some of the things that make us unique are our personalities, looks and fingerprints. We are also all the same because we are all humans and we need food and water, shelter, love and oxygen. Also we found out about some of our important body systems like the digestive, circulation and nervous systems. We have one more session on Wednesday. Check out some photos from inside the van...
Keep bringing your fundraising money for the Heart Foundation along to school - Miss Taylor has given you a bit more time to get it back. So far we have raised $108.30 from just our class! Well done to the 12 people who have brought back their donations. Can Tinwald School get over $1000? What do you think? The closest guess wins a thinking credit.
Use your maths skills - 11 classes x $1 per child = ?
250 children x $1 each = $250?
Last week for homework, you could have a go at designing a new Tinwald School logo. We are looking for ideas to change or update our logo while ideas are being sought for a change and update to the school uniform. These things can happen together!
Here are the designs that Totara students have put forward. I wonder who is judging the competition?
