Marlese won a prize in the last auction that allowed her to cook lunch at school with 3 friends. She chose to make pancakes with Hannah, Macy and Ashleigh. Miss Sullivan organised the pancake batter and the girls brought along their favourite toppings. What
Wow - it's the last week of term 2 and the last week always means time for an auction. What would you like to see on the reward list this time? For this auction, you can join your credits with your friends and bid together. We will discuss how this will work in class.
So get thinking and leave a comment with an idea for a reward.
Wow - what an awesome afternoon at school today when we shared our science learning with the rest of the school and parents. We had so many parents come along and visit our classroom - well done to everyone who managed to get someone along. There were at least 20 parents from our class. If you didn't get to come along, you can check out most of the science projects on the Connected Learning page. Well done Totara - you spoke really well to the audience, went through your learning step by step and managed yourself for quite a long period of time.
Super skills and a great way to end our investigating change topic.
Ashleigh and Logan were chosen to represent Totara in the kidney bean eating challenge on Friday. They volunteered to eat 1/2 a can of cold kidney beans to help raise awareness of kidney problems. They both said they weren't that nice but not as bad as they thought they would be. They were beaten by Cory from R8 who was crowned the Arrowsmith champion!
Well done to Todd, Ash, Hannah, Macy, Marlese, Zoe, Byron, Jack, Dillon, Brodie, Mya, Amy, TC and Brylie who earned at least one extra credit for their homework last week. We had 15 people bring back their homework this time around and all of them got at least one more credit. The next auction is less than 2 weeks away so all the credits will count. Homework has now finished for term 2. You could have things to work on for your science project this week.
Who put in some extra effort on one of the activities? Scratch the card and find out who are HW Heroes are!
Our class blog has just hit 1000 visitors for the year. Well done to everyone who shares it with family and friends and looks at it regularly. Since the 8th February, we have had 1, 002 visitors. So we are getting about 500 visitors per term - will we make it to 2000 visitors by the end of the year?
Leave a prediction and we will take a look in the last week of school in 2014!
Hannah and Matthew are our 2 experts in Garageband. They recently went to a workshop to learn the basics. They had heaps of fun learning with Mr C and now they are ready to share their skills and knowledge. Check out some photos of them at the workshop:
We had great fun working together with R2 on Friday to create oobleck. It is a type of slime made from cornflour and water. It is unique because it is both a solid and a liquid depending on what you do to it. Check out some photos from our buddy time session:
Well done to Lucan, Ashleigh, Macy, Hannah, Marlese, Finn, Byron, Jack, Ethan, Dillon, Brodie, Mackenzie, Mya, Amy and TC for collecting homework credits last week.
