Here is a Wordle showing the results from the end of T1 survey that you did in the last week of school. You were asked to choose 5 things from the list that you enjoyed this term. The bigger the word - the more people chose it. So... can you read it? What were the top things that Totara enjoyed from Term 1? Leave a comment with your response.
The office at school has made its big move to in front of Room 9. The big move took most of the day, even though it didn't go far. The men and women who moved the building were very skilful and patient and new exactly how to manoeuvre it around on the trailer into the right place. It was interesting to find out that the trailer was operated by remote control and each wheel on the trailer could be operated separately. Very interesting! Check out some photos of the move:
During the last week of term, we had a contract to work on, which included things that must be done and things that could be done. One of the 'could do' activities was a colouring competition. On Thursday, Miss Taylor judged the entries and choose 3 winners. Well done to Macy, Zydyn and Todd who won an Easter prize. Check out their great entries:
It is almost Easter and with that comes the school holidays. On Thursday, we will be celebrating the last day of Term 1. Totara's shop will be open for you to spend your credits. Also up for grabs will be some Easter treats.
So... will you go for a chocolately reward or something you can use next term?
The choice is yours... if you have enough credits!
Since camp, we have been working on a piece of art using a photo as inspiration. We took many photos during camp and it wasn't hard finding an individual photo of everyone to use in their art. First we planned the piece by using black and white photos to draw in the background. We have learnt how to do collage to fill in a main piece of the background. The other media we used was pastel and some tried paint.
Check out some of the finished pieces - they look great.
Look on our art galley page to see everyone's finished piece.
We want to hear from you about what you think of the Tinwald School uniform as it is currently.
